Many people have started blogging with WordPress in the last few years and this may even have inspired you. Blogging with WordPress is pretty easy, but getting it setup correctly can be tricky. WordPress offers thousands of plugins, sometimes dozens of nearly identical ones, and choosing among them can be difficult.

Choosing a theme is not only about styles and colors, but about features like how many columns, fixed or flexible width and how things work inside. I found out lately that even a list of items can be presented in an unexpected way in some themes and I had to rethink how I used it, or re-code the theme! I can also install a specific free theme or a commercial one you have purchased instead.

I also setup, register and configure services like Akismet and Feedburner for all new WordPress installations. These cut down on spam comments and help people subscribe to your RSS, respectively.
