Feedburner meet AWeber – New Plugin

Thanks to some nagging from my pal Joshua (http://thinkwebstrategy.com/) I finally broke down and wrote my first WordPress plugin.

Lots of Webmasters use AWeber’s autoresponders to communicate with leads, send out e-courses, promote products etc. A lot of them have also been using FeedBurner to send blog updates to users by email, but until now they were 2 separate processes.

That mean having 2 forms on your blog and hoping people fill them both in.

FeedWeber is a brand new WordPress plugin that combines FeedBurner and AWeber into one form and allows blog visitors to subscribe to BOTH services at the same time.

The first version was released into the WordPress Extend directory today and was downloaded 14 times in the first hour! Now, I’m anxiously awaiting feedback from those users.

The future…

What’s next for FeedWeber? Depending on user feedback, customization, better integration with AWeber through their form (which will allow additional fields) and displaying a response to the user.

This is a great idea. Making it easier for people to sign up, might just push them over the edge! =)

Thanks for the comment Alex. What did you mean by “Easier … to sign up?” I’m all for making things easier.
