In a fairly unusual step, WordPress has released a second version inside of week. Now at 2.8.2, WordPress has fixed a number of “security” issues in the 2 latest updates.

Many site owners have complained that WordPress 2.8, codename Baker, was released prematurely and these latest updates suggest that may not have been far off the mark.

Since the 2.8.1 and 2.8.2 update are both critical security fixes, all blog owners running the original WordPress 2.8 are advised to update them ASAP.
